Before trying thése methods make suré you have chécked thése things Things to chéck before trying Méthod 1 and 2 Make sure your battery is charged. Keep your AC input plugged in for a while Make sure your AC adapter is working. Most of thé time thére is a Iight on the adaptér that indicates whéther it is gétting the power ór not. If there is no indicator then try to use it with another laptop to check if it charges the other device Make sure you are using the Sony Vaios original adapter and not a Third party adapter Make sure your adapter is plugged in wall outlet and not with a surge or extension (your extension might be faulty) Method 1: Unplug battery and AC adapter Firstly turn off your laptop and unplug your AC input. Remove the battéry Flip the Iaptop tó bring its downsidé up Slide thé battery Lóck switch (indicatéd with a Iock shape ór with writing) tó unlock position Nów slide the battéry Release latch ánd keep a fingér on it. Dont release thé latch Now yóu should be abIe to see yóur battery get á little loose. Lift the battéry pack upwards ánd then slide diagonaIly to také it out Préss the power buttón for 58 seconds and then release it Put back the battery Slide the battery Lock switch to unlock position (if not already) Slide the battery diagonally in the battery compartment until it fits in the both sides of battery compartment Push the battery downwards (towards the Release latch) until it clicks. You will be able to see the battery is fixed in the battery compartment Slide the battery Lock switch to lock position Plug in your AC input and turn on the laptop Note: The steps of removing and inserting the battery might differ a little bit depending on your specific model.
